As an avid (not to mention awesome) user of hapily apps, you’ll be paying frequent visits to your hapily admin portal. It’s a wonderful place where you can set the apps up, change their settings, or upgrade a subscription.
But you’ve got a problem: Your password is lame.
Carl from accounting set up your portal for you and he made the password something extremely easy to guess like Password or 12345. Come on Carl! We can do a little better than that.
But not to worry! There are two simple and easy ways for you to change your password. Let’s have a look shall we?
How to change your hapily password using the “Profile” button
Upon logging in (which you can do here), you’ll be able to see your name in the top right corner of your portal. It’s not just for decoration though. If you click on it, you’ll be able to view all of the IDs for the HubSpot accounts you're a part of.
You’ll also notice the Profile button. Click on it, and the Edit Profile window will pop up. Type in something super secret that only you’ll be able to guess! Then click Update Password.
How to change your hapily password using the “Forgot Password” button
Uh oh. Carl didn’t bother telling you the password after he set up the portal. He also managed to forget it (how do you forget your password when it’s literally Password?).
Don’t panic! You’re not locked out of your account. The hapily portal is well prepared for this kind of situation with the Forgot Password button!
On the hapily login screen, click Forgot Password. You’ll be asked to enter in the email address you would normally use to log in. Once you’ve done that, you’ll be sent a password reset email to the address you entered.
Click the link provided and you’ll be taken back to hapily. From there, It’s just a matter of entering in your new password. Easy!
4 tips for creating a secure password
You now know how to manage your password on the hapily portal! All done right? Technically yes. But I have a few recommendations to help you secure your password before you go:
1. Instead of using a word or numbers, try using a phrase instead!
2. Replace letters with numbers or characters that look like them. For example, replace “E” with “3” or “S” with “$”.
3. Change your password once every 3 months.
4. This one goes without saying, but never share your password with ANYONE.
